The new headquarters of AMB (Aziende Municipalizzate di Bellinzona) was recently opened in the Piazza del Sole in Bellinzona. To honor the headquarters and celebrate the creation of the Nuova Bellinzona, a new fountain was installed in front of the building. Designed by the sculptor Luca Marcionelli, the fountain is made with the precious Gneiss stone from the Cresciano quarry. The rock was cut using the most modern CNC cutting machines and refined by the highly skilled stonemasons of Ongaro & Co SA to shape the coat of arms of the town: the “Biscione” of the Visconti House.
