Chiara Ongaro Pescioli was born in Locarno, Canton of Ticino. She studied law at the University of Zurich, graduating in 1986. Since 1988 she has been leading the family company Ongaro & Co SA, located in Cresciano.
She joined the CRB team, a competence center for standards in the construction and real estate sector, as an expert in the field of natural stone.
Giuseppe Ongaro
Originally from Mendrisio, Giuseppe Ongaro studied Architecture at the prestigious ETH of Zurich and graduated in 1998.
Since 1998 he has been leading the company Ongaro & Co SA in Cresciano, together with his sister Chiara. Holding the permit for the use of explosive materials for industrial purposes, he is in charge of the natural stone extraction at the company. Moreover, he also manages the production, development and security departments.
Committed to the quality of natural stone, Giuseppe is a member of the Quarry Commission of the Natursteinverband Schweiz.
Mauro Pollini
Mauro Pollini was born in Bellinzona, Canton of Ticino. In 1996 he obtained the Federal qualification as stonecutter and stonemason. Since 2005 he has been the head of the production laboratory at Ongaro & Co SA.
Appointed as apprenticeship trainer, he supports and accompanies the stonemason' apprentices from their early training until their final examination.
